Stephanie Talic nasceu em Vancouver, Canadá, em 1984. Em 2010 começou a estudar artes plásticas no Langara College; em 2018 irá formar-se em Belas Artes pela Emily Carr University of Art + Design na sua cidade natal. Trabalha em desenho, pintura, mixed media, gravura e media digitais. O seu trabalho é uma conversa contínua consigo mesma – é através dele que enfrenta inseguranças e problemas, procurando desta forma superá-los. Acreditando que os materiais complementam os conceitos, cria articulações visuais a partir das suas experiências de dor e alegria – plasmadas no próprio ato de criação. Embora o seu trabalho seja inicialmente sobre si mesma, no final, cabe ao espectador procurar e encontrar o seu próprio significado.

Stephanie Talic was born in Vancouver, Canada in 1984. In 2010 she began studying fine arts at Langara College; in 2018, she will graduate with a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in her hometown. She works in drawing, painting, mixed media, printmaking and digital media.Her work is an ongoing conversation with herself – through her work she both faces insecurities and troubles in order to overcome them. While playing attention that materials complement concept, she creates visual articulations of experiences of both pain and joy—one of which is the creation of the work itself. Although her work is initially about herself, in the end, the viewer is presented with an arena in which they may seek and find their own meaning.
